Second to last week of Merlin LDWS!

It's been an odd couple of days. I haven't done anything I planned to - two of us were not feeling well enough to leave the house - and I made the cut for the penultimate week of Merlin Last Drabble Writer Standing.

There are only three of us left in the running: hermette, who was my pick from day 1, snottygrrl who I had seen around a bit and who I connected with a few weeks into the competition and... me!

So, one of us gets eliminated this week and the other two battle it out next week. It's a bit weird to think of one of us leaving at this point. (How long does it take to form a habit, again?) Anyway, I think we're all fairly relaxed about the prospect of being eliminated, although I'm still actually stressed about the producing a drabble part of it. Still, at best/worst we will only have to produce one more next week, while one of us can stand back and cheerlead at that point.

Please go and read our drabbles. We're sweating blood over them at this point and I don't know about the others but I have completely lost the ability to tell whether what I'm typing is crap or not! Come back and tell me honestly what you think while they're still anonymous if you like! Concrit is welcome.

ADDENDUM - I actually won both this week and then the following week also! I'd like to say thank you to everyone involved, especially dreamdustmama for running it and hermette and snottygrrl who saw it through with me to the end!

Just to say, I've really enjoyed the drabbles each week - voting has been more and more of a nightmare as the standard is incredibly high. Thanks and good luck for the final stretch! It's great that it's all been so friendly. :)

hermette and snottygirl have both been lovely and friendly, so that has been really great. In fact everyone I have interacted with during this has been. I tend to be a bit reluctant to be noticed and sno has been really encouraging me, and dreamdustmama, who is modding, has the knack of saying something kind just when I'm feeling low. Nice bunch of people.

I think I'll take a break for the next round but I'll be watching with interest.

I've seen some ldws comps where the last week was three contestants and you had a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, and I sort of wish we were doing that. The thought of one of us going makes me super nervous and I'm just really, really glad it came down to the three of us. You guys have been a delight to write with every week and if nothing else, I'll now be able to pick your writing out at 100 paces.
